Fashion retailer Mango turnover surges 20% in 2012

This year, it plans to continue expanding online and to double turnover, through its own website www.mango.com and by opening online concessions on the best websites worldwide. In 2012, the store put into practice an in-store selling service using tablet devices, which allow customers to purchase a specific model not available in the store at that moment. The main objective of this novel service is to simplify the shopping experience for customers and give them access to the entire MANGO, H.E. by MANGO and MANGO Touch collections.

The H.E. by MANGO menswear range now has over 100 retail outlets. In 2013, it plans to open approximately 80 retail outlets in countries such as Germany, France, Holland, Russia and Turkey, as well as in regions such as the Middle East, South-East Asia and South America. In the next few years, the H.E. by MANGO brand plans to reach a total of 500 retail outlets and account for 10% of the firm’s total turnover.

MANGO currently has 12,000 employees worldwide and more than 2,600 retail outlets in 107 countries. In 2013, the brand will enter the markets of Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Mongolia and Zimbabwe, which will give it a presence in 111 countries, making it Spain’s most international fashion brand.

The forecast investment for the Group in 2013 is 265 million euros, which will be allocated to new store openings, store refurbishments, logistics systems and IT systems.
