Make a note of the date now!

At COLLECTIONS

Autumn-winter 13/14 updates Preview summer 14

The quality/style/ price ratio of the Portuguese ready-to-wear manufacturers (with their eagerly awaited childrenswear offer) and that of the Italians, who made a big splash from the outset, will clearly be this season’s big attractions. A season that promises diversity and revitalisation, since the Moroccans, Tunisians and Turks will be coming in large numbers. Better known as co-contractors, this time they’ll be proposing their own ready-to-wear and accessories collections devotedly put together from design through to production in their factories. A real discovery!

At TISSU PREMIER

Autumn-winter 13/14 updates ? Summer 14 season and colour ranges/trends for autumn-winter 14/15. 75% of the shows past exhibitors have already signed up. For the moment, French manufacturers of woven fabrics are the biggest contingent, followed by Turkey and Italy. Tunisia, with knitted fabrics in particular, and Morocco, with a terrific supplies offer, will once again be taking part in the first fabrics show of the season, not forgetting Portugal which is increasingly dynamic. As always, there is a strong presence of textile designers who are beginning to make their mark, and a clear consolidation of the supplies offer.

FASHION INFO

Always a great hit, the eagerly awaited fashion information will be presented in 4 forums hosting a series of talks over the 2 days. On both days of the show will feature events with:

-PROMOSTYL - summer 14 womenswear trends and styles

-AGENCE NELLYRODI – The future of retail

And on Wednesday 5 June:

PECLERS PARIS: Winter 14/15 forecasts and trends based on the fabrics collections at the show 3 to 4.30 pm: Sustainable development: how to launch innovative environmental initiatives that will have a true impact. Eco-labels, textile recycling, product eco-design: what are the sustainable drivers that will make innovative fashion businesses stand out? Panel session organised by La Fédération de la Maille ET de la Lingerie with speakers from the Institut Français du Textile ET de l'Habillement

Events on the 2013 theme of textile recycling (Request our full brochure on the subject!) including RECYCLING, a competition for students that combines two key themes central both to Tissu Premier and Collections: recycling and creativity. 5 winning fashion schools will present silhouettes designed by 12 students. A panel of fashion professionals will award 3 prizes. The public will have a chance to vote too, and there’ll be an additional ‘People’s prize’.
