Catriona Rowntree launches A/W merino wool babywear line

In collaboration with The Woolmark Company, Catriona Rowntree has launched her Autumn Winter 2013 Baby Wear Collection. Inspired by her life on the land, the collection is exclusive to Target at shop.target.com.au and in selected stores across Australia from 22 May.

The collection consists of newborn baby coveralls, long sleeve onesies, separates and sleeping bags. Pieces feature a lovable embroidered bunny or loveable lamb.

Travel Reporter, mum and farmer’s wife Catriona Rowntree is proud of her ongoing support of the Australian wool industry.

Catriona’s intimate knowledge and passion for Australian Merino wool stems from living on a Merino sheep farm with her husband James and their two sons, Andrew and Charles. Catriona has sourced design influences from her close network of family, friends and fellow mums in her mothers’ group.

Impeccable quality coupled with ease of care, makes Australian Merino wool perfect for young babies’ apparel and sleepwear. Being a natural fibre, Australian Merino wool is breathable which helps regulate baby’s body temperature. The wool used for this collection is sourced from home-grown Merino sheep farms, similar to that of Catriona and James’s farm. Catriona was a strong advocate in ensuring her collection for Target used wool from Australian farms.

Catriona Rowntree’s Autumn Winter 2013 Collection of essential Baby Wear pieces come on a padded taffeta hanger trimmed with a bow and complemented by a gift tag with a personal message from Catriona.

As a wool ambassador Catriona Rowntree has attended various industry events for Australian Wool Innovation including this year’s Don Brown Memorial Field Day at Condobolin and the Ducks on the Pond shearing event at Harrow and is set to attend this year’s Hamilton Sheepvention (Vic)  and Katanning Sheep Show (WA).
