With looks ranging from feminine to rugged, and vintage to clean, the collection encompasses innovative garments highlighting INVISTA’s key technologies for denim, including LYCRA dualFX fabric, TOUGH MAX LYCRAs fabric, and the latest trend right styles with LYCRA fiber.
Garments feature fabrics from INVISTA’s key mill customers and are arranged under three key themes:
Pour les Femmes
This theme encompasses fabrics that celebrate the feminine mystique. Jeans in skinny and slim fits are enhanced with embroidery, folkloric details, and interesting prints from soft, “smudgy” impressions to photographic and color blocked, jigsaw shapes.
Other featured styles include feminine biker looks, “cotton candy” and tapestry prints, and sequined or beaded denim. Many of the fabrics in this collection feature LYCRA dualFX fabric technology which combines LYCRA fiber and LYCRA T400 fiber in a single yarn, resulting in super stretch denims that keep their shape.
According to Jean Hegedus, INVISTA’s Global Segment Leader for Denim, as fabric quality standards have become increasingly stringent, LYCRA dualFX technology has provided a ready solution for improved fabric recovery.
“A wide variety of brands from around the world have discovered the benefits of this technology and are integrating these fabrics into their core styles,” Hegedus said.
Pour Le Hommes
This category features rugged fabrics in black, ash, and traditional blue denim reflecting a strong, masculine feel. Marbleized and stone inspired prints, jeans with hammered metal effects, and tattoo looks reinforce the theme. TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabrics illustrate the benefits of strong yet lightweight denim with comfort stretch that can be worn for a variety of occasions from work to play. Woven denims that look like knits and knit denims that look like wovens round out the collection, reflecting the emerging category of performance denim.
Pour Tout le Monde
The final group represents fabrics that know no boundaries, working equally as well for womenswear as for menswear: simple denim structures with clean finishes, vintage styles, camouflage looks updated with overprinting, and waxed and leather looks.
These styles feature LYCRA fiber for high quality stretch and recovery. “The inclusion of LYCRA fiber in these fabrics provides the consumer with the best of both worlds – the latest styling, along with the comfort and performance consumers desire,” Hegedus said.
