Ocean Media Group, Europe’s largest wedding show organiser, has acquired The UK Wedding Shows to sit alongside the National Wedding Shows, offering both local and major nationwide wedding events for every bride.

With venues in Manchester, London, Harrogate, Liverpool, Newcastle and the Midlands, The UK Wedding Shows offer exciting features and quality local wedding suppliers to an estimated 70,000 brides-to-be each year.

Ocean Media will invest heavily in The UK Wedding Shows; improving the popular catwalk fashion shows which offers exhibitors a greater opportunity to showcase their dresses and accessories; introducing new stand options for bridal wear retailers and introducing a selection of inspirational new features that will ensure that visitors enjoy a memorable day out.

In addition, Ocean Media Group will invest in marketing in the national bridal magazines, national press, radio and key regional media, providing exhibitors with the unique opportunity to get their products and services seen by more local brides-to-be than any other regional wedding event.

Commenting on the acquisition, Dave Moran, Managing Director of Ocean Media Group said:

“The merger strengthens our existing position as the leading consumer wedding show organiser and complements our existing portfolio as it enables us to offer brides who are looking for something at local level an inspiring and competitive wedding event.”

Linda Williams and Beverley Howard, Directors at The UK Wedding Shows commented:

“We are delighted to be joining Ocean Media and look forward to exciting times ahead. Working together will allow us to reach our strategic goals in the future and the integration of both companies will ensure our clients receive the same level of service they have come to expect. “

UK Wedding Shows still to run in 2013 include; St George’s Hall in Liverpool on September 21-22; Harrogate International Centre on September 28-29; Newcastle Racecourse on Sunday October 6 and Manchester Central on October 26-27.
