The Shanghai International Occupational Uniform Exhibition, sponsored by the National Federation of the Textile and Garment Industry Association and hosted by Ling Shuo Exhibition Company, will be held from June 5-7, 2013, at Shanghai’s Everbright Convention and Exhibition Center.

The first of its kind exhibition aims to promote original cutting-edge designs for the occupational uniform clothing that will focus on rational use of traditional designing elements from the Chinese and Asian culture.

The exhibition will closely focus on characteristics of occupational uniforms, innovative blending of high-level personal clothing with uniform clothing and provide a sourcing platform for occupational uniforms, especially for military, commercial sectors and other enterprises.

According to the organizing committee, the exhibition will also host a range of events including forums for standardization, government procurement and bidding of occupational clothing; and discussions on the current scenario of standardization in China's occupational uniform sector and its future.

In addition to the above events, the exhibition will also include a designing competition to bring variations in occupational uniform clothing.

The organizing committee of the exhibition predicts that the occupational uniform industry will witness rapid development in the clothing industry in the coming years.

Occupational uniform is provided to people to symbolize their profession. This type of clothing illustrates some specific features, like purpose, identity, symbols or aesthetics of the work done by the people. It could also be designed to promote the employee’s motivation, commitment and sentiments at work.

However, the designs of modern uniforms emphasize on safety, cleanliness, color-matching designs and fashion element as well. The Chinese occupation uniform market caters to demands from government authorities, law enforcement agencies, military use as well as for civilian purposes.
