Top model Jade Thompson to host 'The Clothes Show'

Following a 13 year absence since the cult show, formerly fronted by fashion industry legends Jeff Banks and Caryn Franklin, The Clothes Show will now be brought back to life.

The newly revised Clothes Show TV will be hosted by the world’s largest video portal, YouTube, free of charge to subscribers 3 times a week. Fronted by a selection of well-known fashion and beauty bloggers as well as new up-and-coming talent, Clothes Show TV will launch on YouTube on June 19.

Clothes Show TV will be produced by fashion TV specialists Fashot and has been brought back to life by the team behind Clothes Show Live, the annual event which takes place at NEC Birmingham every December.

Regular weekly scheduling will soon become must-watch content as Clothes Show TV releases its newly revised topics including exclusive behind the scenes access, a look inside industry press events, red carpet how-to’s as well as up-to-the minute style advice and trend forecasting from the glamorous world of fashion and beauty. Scheduling confirmed from June 19 includes Showbiz (Monday), Fashion (Wednesday) and Hair & Beauty (Friday).

Speaking about the decision to bring back the Clothes Show to our screens, Clothes Show Managing Director and Executive Producer Gavin Brown said: “At its height The Clothes Show had around 9 million viewers every Sunday night and was a British institution.”

The Face of this year’s Clothes Show Live event, Jade Thompson, will also appear in the first episode of Clothes Show TV. After competing against thousands of hopefuls, Jade was crowned the winner of the successful TV series Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model back in 2011; her unique look won over the judges and the viewers as she topped her auburn hair with the worthy crown.

Jade commented: “It’s a huge honour to be the Face of Clothes Show Live 2013! I’m a big fan of the show and was scouted while visiting in 2011. I’m proud to be an ambassador this year as the show celebrates 25 years at the forefront of fashion tomorrow.”

Clothes Show Live will return to the NEC Birmingham from 6-10 December 2013 as it celebrates 25 years as the UK’s largest fashion and beauty event, with tickets on sale from June 19.
