Menswear, previously on the lower ground floor, will be elevated to the first floor in a brand new men’s environment that will reflect the high quality product on offer. A new designer collection from Savile Row’s Patrick Grant will be the star attraction in the fresh, spacious department.
An oasis for women will replace menswear in the basement with the entire floor dedicated to lingerie and footwear. As well as wide range of concession shoe brands, women will have access to exclusive styles from the retailer’s Faith label and ranges from designers including Henry Holland, Matthew Williamson, Jasper Conran and Jenny Packham.
In addition to lingerie lines such as Reger by Janet Reger and B by Ted Baker that are available only at Debenhams, customers will also be able to use the free Bra Fit service in a brand new suite of lingerie fitting rooms.
The lower ground floor will also boast a lounge bar where customers will be able to take a break from shopping in a relaxing atmosphere. A new menu of fresh, contemporary food will offer signature dishes of crispy salt and pepper squid with a lime aioli, oak smoked salmon on sourdough with salsa verde and a grilled halloumi, almond and courgette ribbon salad.
Two further food and drink areas, a restaurant and a café, will be re-designed in line with the store’s new look, taking Debenhams’ in-store hospitality experience to a new level.
The store modification runs alongside the relocation of the Debenhams’ head office staff from three buildings directly behind the store, to a new office in Regent’s Park. The executive offices, which were housed above the Oxford Street store, are in the process of moving, adding 20,000 square feet of selling space and the expansion of operational areas.
