Gymboree Corporation appoints Joelle Maher as COO

The Gymboree Corporation announced the appointment of Joelle Maher as the company's new Chief Operating Officer. A seasoned retail executive, Maher will join Gymboree from Levi Strauss & Co. where she most recently served as Executive Vice President, President Global Retail, and previously as the Senior Vice President of Americas Multi-Channel Retail, and Vice President, Planning, Allocation, Stores, Store Operations and Outlet at Levi Strauss & Co.

Maher brings to Gymboree a distinguished retail career in positions of increasing responsibility with leading apparel brands. In addition to her experience at Levi Strauss & Co., Maher previously served in executive leadership positions at Lucky Brand Jeans, Old Navy and Macy's East.

In these various roles, Maher has worked successfully across a variety of functions, building a track record of driving retail businesses to exceptional growth. "I'm thrilled to be joining the Gymboree team," said Maher. "I look forward to helping the team grow three fantastic brands." Maher's appointment at Gymboree is effective July 15, 2013.
