Other particularly active Euro-Med countries:

- France and Portugal are Western Europe’s main representatives, since Italy has had to pull out due to grant cuts. An offer from 7 Portuguese businesses, devoted to childrenswear, footwear, lingerie and quality coats/jackets, is very popular with buyers, and some 15 French businesses will be upholding the made in France cachet. There is usually a larger contingent in September than in February, although some exhibitors are now participating at both sessions to take advantage of the show’s high international turnout.

- North Africa continues to top the bill. Morocco and Tunisia remain at number one and number three in the exhibitor numbers rankings, with Romania in second place. The consistently large Moroccan contingent displays the extensive range of know-how in clothing, lingerie, swimwear, supplies, fabrics and household linen that makes them the co-contractors of choice for fashion brands. Tunisia will also be out in force again, with a broad range of small to large-scale manufacturing solutions.

- Mauritius is the sole representative of the Indian Ocean region, which remains an important trading partner for Europe. Madagascar is refocusing on local markets and the high demand in South Africa, particularly since the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) has made outside trading less viable. Mauritius will be showcasing the know-how of around 10 highly responsive firms specialising in knitwear, beachwear, men’s casual wear, womenswear and childrenswear.

In September 2013, Zoom by fatex welcomes the upcoming generation of international fashion professionals in partnership with Hyères 2013 - International Festival of Fashion and Photography.

Zoom by Fatex visitors will be at the very cutting edge of fashion: throughout the event, catwalk shows from the Hyères 2013 Fashion Festival will be projected onto the show’s walls and onto screens at the entrance. Zoom organisers Eurovet enabled two Festival participants’ collections to be made by French contractors: l’Atelier d’Ariane (a Zoom exhibitor), LCC Lazar Cuckovic and Atelier Styl’ Couture produced Satu Maaranen’s collection, which won the Festival’s Première Vision Grand Jury Prize.

Visitors will have the chance to view designs by Tomas Berzins & Victoria Feldman (Latvia/Russia), Henning Jurke (Germany), Chloé prize winner Camille Kunz (Switzerland), Palais de Tokyo prize winner Yvonne Poei-Yie Kwok (Netherlands), Xénia Lucie Laffely (France/Switzerland), Satu Maaranen (Finland), Marion de Raucourt (France), Damien Ravn (Norway), people’s prize winner Shanshan Ruan (China) and Xing Su (Canada).

ZOOM by fatex continues to offer the best co-contracting solutions for decision-makers and managers of medium- and high-end ready-to-wear and accessories firms.
