Based in Mumbai, the Provogue Brand was launched back in 1998 and its products are available across 150 locations in their exclusive brand outlets called “Provogue Studios.” It also offers its merchandise on selective stores in the country like Shopper’s Stop, Lifestyle, Globus, Westside etc.
Ecommerce wouldn’t be a new experience for Provogue as the company was already selling its products on various ecommerce platforms like Jabong, Myntra, Homeshop18 & many other. The company might have earned some profitable business through online offerings, that might be the reason for it to go for a online venture of its own.
Provogue’s webstore will be selling all its merchandise including clothes, watches, sunglasses, & other accessories for both men and women. Provogue, which claims itself as a youth brand, not a teen brand nor an ‘old’ brand, will be targeting consumers in their late 20s means same target audience as it has for offline. The website claims to deliver products all across the country.
It assures to deliver products within 2 days for a major Metro location, a total of 5 days for cities other than metros depending on the location and 14 days for imported products.
For payment all general payment methods are available including COD and it is using Citrus for online payments. For fiscal 2013, Provogue is targeting INR 650 crore in revenue with equal contributions expected from its domestic and export verticals, it is to be seen how its ecommerce launch contributes to its revenues and how its brand image will help it to foster its sales online.
