Gerry Webber expands management board

For personal reasons, Doris Strätker has decided not to extend her management board contract with GERRY WEBER International AG that expires in July 2013. The supervisory board would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Strätker for her commitment and work for the GERRY WEBER group.

Ralf Weber joined the general management team GERRY WEBER AG in 2009, initially heading controlling and developing the central purchasing department. Ralf Weber is currently general manager of the strategically important retail division and will be responsible on the board for retail and corporate development.

This 49 year old business graduate and initiator of the only ATP lawn tennis tournament in Germany has been the tournament director of the GERRY WEBER OPEN since it was first held in 1993. He also manages the company Management & Event OHG that runs the GERRY WEBER stadium, an event centre and two hotels. The son of the executive chairman Gerhard Weber will be focusing on internationalizing the company over the next few years.

Arnd Buchardt will be responsible on the board for the fields of wholesale, licenses and marketing. Buchardt has been the general manager of the brand company for the core brand GERRY WEBER for the past six years and has played a significant role in its positive development.

This 44 year old business graduate joined the company in 2004, initially accompanying the GERRY WEBER brand as a sales manager before joining the management team in 2007. Arnd Buchardt's declared goal is to turn GERRY WEBER into an internationally known lifestyle brand in the next few years and to further promote the vertical integration of the company.

I look forward to this generation change and our work together on the board," says the executive chairman Gerhard Weber. In the future, the board at GERRY WEBER International AG will comprise 4 members: Gerhard Weber (CEO), Dr. David Frink (production, logistics, IT, finances) and the two new members.
