Gilt, the innovative online shopping destination, announced it has appointed Tracey Weber as Chief Operating Officer, effective September 3, 2013.  Ms. Weber joins Gilt from Citibank, where she was the Managing Director, North America Internet and Mobile and Global Product.

In her role as Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Weber will have responsibility for many of Gilt's operations, including Gilt City, International, Customer Service, and Merchandise Planning, as well as oversee several new strategic initiatives.  Ms. Weber will report directly to CEO Michelle Peluso.

In her former role as the North American Head of Internet and Mobile and Global Product, Ms. Weber oversaw the organization's growing online and mobile banking services, serving more than 20 million customers and driving new capabilities in 40 countries.

"I have always loved being at the forefront of companies that are changing consumers' experiences," said Weber. "I am thrilled to be joining Gilt at this truly transformative time."

Prior to joining Citibank, Ms. Weber was an Executive Vice President at Barnes & Noble.  She also held many roles at Travelocity, including Chief Operating Officer and President, North America.  Prior to joining Travelocity, Ms. Weber had a successful career in management consulting.
