Record registrations for Texworld & ApparelSourcing Paris

“In the current economic climate, this is very good news. We are delighted with this excellent result,” says Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies of Messe Frankfurt.

The 1000th registration has been received from the Thai company of Bangkok Weaving Mills, which has attended Texworld since 2001.

Its fabrics are made using the finest cottons: Egyptian, Pima, organic. Founded in 1950, its business was first confined to weaving indigo cotton for the local market. The company rapidly invested in more powerful machinery and directed its offer towards the international market.

From 1991, its offer was entirely vertical with the setting- up of a workshop for dyeing and finishing, one of the most modern in South-East Asia. It has become one of the flagship companies in the Thai textile industry.

In total, the two exhibitions will count 1045 exhibitors, a record number of participants! Texworld has recorded 845 exhibitors from 27 countries, the highest attendance since the crisis in 2008 and one of the best in its history.

For its part, Apparel sourcing Paris will welcome 200 exhibitors from 14 countries, which will mark a record in participation since its launch in September 2011. The exhibition for sourcing has posted a rise of 23 percent compared with the show in September 2012.
