Tide Pods is pleased to announce an exclusive partnership with Canadian fashion designer, Kimberley Newport-Mimran, for Pink Tartan. The Pink Tartan Washable Collection for Tide Pods will consist of must-have washable pieces inspired by Newport-Mimran’s signature style.

From the technical pant to the everyday top, these essential sportswear pieces can easily transition from day to night and are made with beautiful washable fabrics. The Washable Collection will launch in Pink Tartan stores across Canada Sept. 19th, 2013, with pieces available at select Holt Renfrew and The Bay stores nationwide. This partnership marks Tide’s first designer collaboration in Canada.

“One of the reasons I partnered with Tide Pods is because I aspire to design clothes that are functional and that fit into the busy woman’s lifestyle”

“One of the reasons I partnered with Tide Pods is because I aspire to design clothes that are functional and that fit into the busy woman’s lifestyle,” said Kimberley Newport-Mimran, president and creative director, Pink Tartan. “Each piece from the Washable Collection is not only easy to wear, it is made from quality washable fabrics that I trust to be easily cared for at home with Tide Pods.”

The Washable Collection for Tide Pods embodies Newport-Mimran’s philosophy of making clothes to live your life in. With the fall collection rooted in simple essential pieces with pops of colour, the new line combines style with functionality for the modern woman.

“We are proud to announce our first ever Canadian designer partnership with Pink Tartan,” says Gord Meyer, Marketing Director, Tide Canada. “Kim is an influential designer and a busy mom so she understands first hand, the importance of functional fashion, quality fabrics and ease of care. This partnership reflects our commitment to innovation in fashion as well as in fabric care.”

Kimberley Newport-Mimran is the president and head designer of Pink Tartan, the womenswear line she co-founded in Toronto in 2002. The New York showroom opened in 2004, and the line is now carried at Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Holt Renfrew and The Bay as well as speciality stores across North America, Dubai and Seoul.
