Retailer Stein Mart begins online operations

Stein Mart, Inc. announced the launch of its highly anticipated online store. Stein Mart is one of the first off-price retailers to extend their offering of current season, brand name fashion apparel for women and men, as well as accessories, linens and home décor at everyday discount prices through an online store.

"We are excited to announce that we are in the e-commerce business and happy to be able to serve our customers who like to shop online," said Jay Stein, Chief Executive Officer. "As we learn more and grow this business, we anticipate that this channel will rapidly become our largest flagship 'store'."

The online store offers a significant selection of brick-and-mortar store merchandise, plus unique online-only offerings. Customers are encouraged to visit the site often, as it will be adding more merchandise categories, including a limited selection of shoes, over the next several weeks.
