The 13th Shanghai International Children Baby Maternity Industry Expo (CBME China) closed its three-day run at Shanghai New International Expo Centre on July 19 with 59,287 buyers from 76 countries in attendance. 1,454 exhibitors representing 2,105 brands showcased their latest products across 138,000 square meters of exhibition space.

"The feedback we have received from the industry, both visitors and exhibitors has been extremely encouraging.” says Athena Gong, General Manager of CBME. “We appreciate the generous support from all the partners in staging a successful event.”

A number of world-known brands participated in CBME China 2013 including 4 MOMS, Babycoccole, Barcarola, Britax, BBC, CAM, Combi, Chicco, Cybex, Disney, F.S. Baby, Joovy, Kiddy, Karicare, Mayoral, Mustela, Nike Kids, Nuby, NUK, Nuna, Ok Baby, PALI, Piccoletas, Pigeon, Phillips Avent, Quinny, Silver Cross, STOKKE, Trasluz, Wyeth and more, covering a range of children baby maternity products.

International Pavilions Showcasing Worldwide Brands

108 International brands from Australia, Korea, New Zealand, US, Spain, Taiwan and other regions came together at International Pavilions presenting products covering a range of children, baby and maternity products from healthcare items to food, strollers and toys, clothing and accessories and services.

“I like the idea of setting pavilions for each country.” says Mr. Sam Lee, CEO of Korea Education System, one of exhibitors in Korean Pavilion, “The rest of exhibition halls are also well organized by product categories, which is easy for buyers to look around.”

Ms. Eva Segura from ASEPRI Spanish Baby Products Association comments: "Spanish participation in CBME China represented by kids fashion and childcare brands was a great success. The Chinese customer values design and innovation of European products. CBME China is manifested as a leader in the field of children's products in Asia. With the economic and social growth of the country, China is a highlighted market for Asepri."

Easing Volume-Buyers’ Sourcing Experience

Private Sourcing Events, a business-matching service for high-volume buyers, were organized to help buyers meet with pre-selected qualified suppliers in a private setting to discuss sourcing requirements and make sourcing easier and more efficient. 18 high-volume buyers and over 300 suppliers participated in CBME China's Private Buyer Meetings. Buyers include Amazon (US), Hesdo B. V, P & K Global Distribution and some high-volume buyers from China.

As Sarah Lee, Hong Kong Representative Office Manager of Hesdo commented, “I’m representing a Dutch trading company to attend this show to look for qualified suppliers and partners. The Private Buyer Meetings I attended was very well organized and very helpful. With organizer’s support, I selected some exhibitors who I’m interested in and have high potential to be our suppliers to meet during the show. This is really an efficient way for business-matching. I definitely will come back next year!”

CBME China is perfect business platform for children, baby and maternity product buyers, retailers, manufacturers, distributors and suppliers to meet and do business in one venue.

CBME China 2014 is now open for registration, which will take place from July 22-24 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.
