Today, the brand which is available all over the world in 5-star hotels, resorts, department stores and specialised shops, can now be found at 11 different Singapore based retailers.
Jessica Othnin-Girard, a French former champion of synchronized swimming, launched her company 4 years ago. Four years later, JOG Swimwear is now sold in 13 countries through 60 retailers.
In Singapore, the brand is available at MARINA BAY SANDS (Skypark shop), RITZ-CARLTON, SENTOSA RESORT & SPA, SHANGRI-LA and at JOG Swimwear’s showroom. And around Singapore, one can find JOG Swimwear at Club Med resorts in Bali, Bintan, Phuket, Cherating and Maldives; as well as in Trisara hotel in Phuket and in St Regis Hotel in Bali.
Starting from Tuesday 1 October, the French brand will be available at On The Beach shop located in the Mandarin Gallery on Orchard Road. On the Beach is a multi-brands store specialized in swimwear. It is managed by the company Intimates Concept who is also managing Simone Perele, a French lingerie brand, in the shop just next door of On The Beach.
It’s during a trip to Morocco that the fourth JOG Swimwear’s collection took shape. Once again the designer took its inspiration from the charm of different exotic cultures to set-up the tone of her new swimsuits line.
The 2013 collection introduces two novelties: a capsule collection « Luxury – Limited edition » made up of two women swimsuit styles, one is covered with embroideries and sequins stitched by hand, the other one got little sleeves retractable on the shoulder.
2013 will also be the year of the arrival of a Men collection with 2 simple and refined swim short styles. And for the second year, a coordinated mother-daughter line of 2 styles will be available. The beachwear line is made up of 3 pieces: a bustier dress and a skirt both in microfiber as well as a cotton tunic embroidered with sequins.
The colour palette of this new collection is resolutely sunny. Blue shades are inspired by the famous Majorelle blue of the Yves Saint-Laurent garden in Marrakech, and a citrus water green from the columns of this same garden.
On the warm colours side, we find an intense plum and a bright candy pink. Classic black and white are replaced by a fake deep blue-black, and an off-white is softening the colour range. And after 2 collections without it, JOG Swimwear reintroduces a fresh and light print that is taking up the 2013 colours.
