The outdoor and adventure sports junkies can now gear up for their next expedition dressed in comfort and style. INVISTA, a world leader in integrated fibers and polymers has teamed up with Wildcraft, India’s #1outdoor gear brand to develop a new range of jackets with THERMOLITE insulation for Autumn Winter’13.

THERMOLITE insulation technology uses engineered fibers that can be converted into nonwoven waddings of different weights or filling into various outdoor garments including jackets, sleeping bags, and gloves.

The weight and type of THERMOLITE insulation to be used depends on the outside temperature, activity level, wind factor etc. To ensure the product consistency and performance standards, these waddings go through independent laboratory testing and the certified products can be identified with THERMOLITE brand hangtags.

Avinash Chandra, Marketing Head, South Asia, INVISTA said, “The current trend in outdoor industry is lightweight gear and our THERMOLITE insulation technology stands for – thermal comfort without adding bulky layers. With increasing interest among Indian consumer towards mountaineering and travelling, we are delighted to launch THERMOLITE insulation in India with Wildcraft, who are leaders in outdoor gear in India.

Jackets with THERMOLITE  insulation can be designed to suit specific temperature levels, activity levels and tolerance to cold and duration or a combination of all these and the Wildcraft jackets have been developed keeping in mind these requirements of Indian consumer."

The new range of jackets by Wildcraft, christened as “Thermo range” have been designed to withstand temperatures of up to -5 degree Celsius and in a wide range of weights for use in casual wear, to extreme cold-weather garments and gear.

Gaurav Dublish, Marketing Director, Wildcraft said, “Consumers in India are going out a lot more than in the past to do activities ranging from trekking to camping to climbing and hiking. They are also knowledgeable about the right kind of equipment and apparel for these activities and demand international level products.

"Wildcraft constantly strives to provide high performance driven clothing and adventure gear to the enthusiasts and we strongly believe that with INVISTA’s THERMOLITE insulation technology we can fill the need gap of our customers. One of the biggest challenges for us in the past has been to add flexibility to low temperature clothing and THERMOLITE insulation is a readymade solution for us.”

So while you are on the look-out for outdoor gear for your next adventure trip, do not forget to check out the THERMOLITE insulation range of jackets that ensures all of the above and promises you quality with added value.
