The updated RSL was released in conjunction with the International Product Safety & Restricted Substances Conference in Jakarta, Indonesia. Recognized as a must-have industry resource, the list is available for download from the AAFA website along with a growing set of other chemical management tools and other state-specific resources.
“Sourcing decisions are some of the most difficult to make, and AAFA remains committed to providing the U.S. apparel and footwear industry with a variety of tools to help make these decisions easier,” said AAFA President and CEO Kevin M. Burke. “Now in its thirteenth publication, the AAFA Restricted Substances List assists the industry in creating a safer and more sustainable supply chain.”
“The AAFA RSL provides our industry with clear and concise information on the newest developments in global product safety and chemical management standards,” said AAFA Environmental Committee Chairman John Eapen, Vice President of Environmental, Health & Safety/Sustainability at America & Efird, Inc.
“We extend our gratitude to the AAFA Environmental Committee, the members of the RSL Task Force, and our RSL peer review group for their time and significant contributions to update this important list.”
