Tommy Hilfiger and guests celebrated the opening of the Tommy Hilfiger Düsseldorf flagship store, located at Schadowstraße 14. Not only is it a large flagship store, doubled of original size, but there are innovative technological integrations that create a digitally-infused shopping experience.

During the opening event celebrations, guests were invited to customize their own varsity college sweaters and create individualized “preppy” perfumes alongside fragrance experts.

The event was catered by Michelin Star-awarded chef Tim Raue, with musical performances by DJs Beck to Beck. On display in store is the original painting “Sweet Pungent” by Andy Warhol and Jean-Michel Basquiat, which Mr. Hilfiger loaned from his personal collection for the flagship opening festivities.

The opening event was attended by national and international celebrities, including Tommy and Dee Hilfiger, actress Kate Bosworth, director Michael Polish, model and actress Poppy Delevingne, actresses Natalia Wörner and Cosma Shiva Hagen, actor Wotan Wilke Möhring, athlete Christoph Metzelder, DJ Michi Beck and actors Max Kidd and Florian Jahr.

“I am excited to open our restyled and expanded store in Düsseldorf,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “For decades, Düsseldorf has been Germany’s economic center, renowned for hosting many of the country’s fashion events. Our store has a sophisticated but relaxed aesthetic that perfectly reflects the tradition and spirit of our brand. The digital integrations bring fashion to the next level, as we infuse the retail environment with tech-savvy features that give customers a new shopping experience.”

With a significant addition nearly doubling the original size, the flagship now spans 1,822 square meters / 19,612 square feet. Featuring a bright and open atmosphere, the concept reflects the American heritage and modern influences that epitomize Tommy Hilfiger’s aesthetic. Aside from the main Schadowstraße entrance, a second doorway opens on Blumenstraße, leading directly to the new dedicated footwear and accessories space.

The ground floor also features the Tommy Hilfiger runway collection, women’s sportswear, and Hilfiger Denim for women. A dramatic circular staircase leads to the first floor, where Tommy Hilfiger Tailored, men’s sportswear, footwear and accessories, and the Hilfiger Denim collection for men are presented. The second level, entirely dedicated to childrenswear, displays the latest collections in a playful, colorful space.
