Insightful presentations, stimulating discussions, innovative product displays, great networking opportunities- the 5th Edition of LYCRA RENDEZVOUS in Mumbai has all this in store for the participants this year!

The two day event being organized by INVISTA, one of the world’s largest integrated producers of chemical intermediates, polymers and fibers, on Oct 16-17, 2013 at The Lalit, Sahar Airport Road, Mumbai, will witness participation from some of the most prominent names in the textile industry.

The first day of the event will focus on Active, Intimate and Ethnic wear value chain.  The day will begin with an informative presentation on Innovative Fibers for Knits application, primarily suited for value added and differentiated garments for Lingerie brands. However the key highlight of first day will be insights from INVISTA on the growing Shapewear category in India. INVISTA will also showcase cotton rich fabric meeting quality standard of its shapewear fabric platform, LYCRA BEAUTY fabric.

During the first day of the event Euromonitor International will discuss with audience some market insights on South Asian sportswear industry with special foci\us on Indian consumer market. Post an exciting launch of Wildcraft’s lightweight thermal jackets with THERMOLITE insulation, the day will conclude with a classy showcase of new intimate apparel range from leading Indian and international brands including Triumph, Groversons and Bodycare.

Day 2 of LYCRA RENDEZVOUS will start with a sneak peak on innovative fiber portfolio from INVISTA in a discussion titled ‘Innovative Fibers and Yarns for Denim’. The focus of the day will revolve around men’s denim and particularly on TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabric, the most sought after denim innovation from INVISTA.

TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabric is a designers dream as it enables Grunge Looks on denim without giving away the stretch and recovery properties of an elastified and comfortable denim. The day will also witness a presentation by Jeanologia on TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabrics capability to withstand ‘Grunge Look for Denims’.

Living up to its Transforming Daily Life mentality INVISTA will introduce a unique initiative by which it is trying to take stretch to masses. This initiative is for India’s “Ready to Stitch fabric” market, which helps Indian consumer meets their need of a customized fit. However garments made with RTS fabric are not comfortable as they are not elastified.

Though the industry is equipped to provide elastified fabric in the RTS market, they are reluctant to take a concrete step as local tailors cannot handle stretch fabrics with spandex. Local tailors face issues like puckering, shrinkage, small width; unevenness etc. and therefore manufacturers do not want to take risk by offering products with stretch for OTC market.

This is where a unique fiber from INVISTA LYCRA T400 fiber provides optimum solution.  Fabric made with LYCRA T400 fiber provides comfort stretch with minimum shrinkage and local tailors can easily stitch a garment without any special settings, machines or knowledge.

With such exciting presentations and an opportunity to meet some of the most renowned names in the textile industry, LYCRA RENDEZVOUS in Mumbai promises to be one of the most innovative textile trade events of the year.
