Mumbai next stop for Lycra Rendezvous on Oct 16-17

The first day of the event will focus on Active, Intimate and Ethnic wear value chain.  The day will begin with an informative presentation on Innovative Fibers for Knits application, primarily suited for value added and differentiated garments for Lingerie brands. Day 2 of LYCRA RENDEZVOUS will start with a sneak peak on innovative fiber portfolio from INVISTA in a discussion titled ‘Innovative Fibers and Yarns for Denim’. The focus of the day will revolve around men’s denim and particularly on TOUGH MAX LYCRA fabric, the most sought after denim innovation from INVISTA.

Though the industry is equipped to provide elastified fabric in the RTS market, they are reluctant to take a concrete step as local tailors cannot handle stretch fabrics with spandex. Local tailors face issues like puckering, shrinkage, small width; unevenness etc. and therefore manufacturers do not want to take risk by offering products with stretch for OTC market.
