The Cintas uniform rental facility in Corpus Christi is the 21st facility companywide to receive Star designation. The facility’s 81 partners, along with representatives from OSHA and state and community officials, celebrated the honor with a flag raising ceremony held at the facility in Corpus Christi on Nov. 1 at 10:00 a.m.
“We are proud of and excited about the level of safety excellence our front-line partners have achieved. Being recognized as a VPP Star worksite is an honor and puts our partners in a very elite class of safety excellence,” said Josh Home, Cintas General Manager of Corpus Christi. “We most assuredly have woven a culture of instinctive safety into our DNA and are committed to furthering Cintas’ safety vision. I am fortunate to have the privilege to work with such wonderful people.”
Cintas’ Corpus Christi facility began the VPP process three years ago. The designation required successful completion of a strict and rigorous audit and collaboration between all levels of management and employee-partners in order to create an environment of continuous safety improvement.
Cintas Corporation has more than 360 facilities throughout the world actively pursuing VPP recognition by OSHA or the equivalent under a similar certifying body. This includes operations in the U.S., Canada, the United Kingdom, Mexico and Honduras.
