Spanish brand Lavand to open first store in London

After its department store debuts in Coin in Italy, Galeries Lafayette in France and Liverpool in Mexico, Lavand is stepping up its global bid, opening its first shop of its own in the UK, a priority market in its growth plan.

At the end of October, the womenswear brand moved into 40 Carnaby Street, on one of the British capital’s main shopping arteries, opening a showroom-shop with an area of more than 80 square metres.

Founded in 2008, Lavand is part of the Loco Time group, which now owns the youthful Ginger + Soul (launched in 2010) and second children’s line Little Lavand (2011). With three shops in Spain, an e-shop which delivers worldwide and 1,200 PoS around the globe, Lavand is synonymous with a romantic, feminine style captured in the special prints which are its hallmark.

In parallel, Lavand is preparing for entry into the USA and Canada through a subsidiary, and has its sights set on the Middle East, China and Japan.
