The American manufacturer, Filson, is pleased to announce the opening of a new retail store in the famed Rocky Mountain resort of Aspen just in time for the holidays.

Having opened its first international store in London last spring, the new Aspen store is the company's first retail location in the U.S. outside the Pacific Northwest.

Open to the public December 3, the shop will offer a mix of Filson signature luggage, leather accessories, apparel and iconic outerwear such as the 100-year-old Mackinaw Cruiser.

"Filson has been crafting durable goods for those who refuse to stay indoors since the Alaskan Gold Rush," said Filson CEO Alan Kirk. "There are few places in the world with a higher concentration of outdoor enthusiasts than Colorado. We look forward to being closer to our longtime customers in this state as well as the region's many international guests."

"ACES is honored to have been chosen as a beneficiary for Filson's Aspen store grand opening," said ACES President Chris Lane. "Like ACES, Filson is committed to being stewards of our environment and connecting people to nature, thus instilling a responsibility in their clients to protect our natural resources for future generations. We welcome an environmentally responsible company such as Filson into our community."

About Filson:

Established in 1897, Filson is the leading outfitter and manufacturer of unfailing goods for outdoor enthusiasts. Built upon a reputation for reliability, Filson is a favorite among fishermen and hunters, engineers and explorers, mariners and miners, and anyone who refuses to stay indoors.
