Sheffield Steelers and Great Britain ice hockey player Danny Meyers said: ”Since receiving my Kurio pants I have been astonished by how much they have helped my ability to both perform and recover.

“As a professional, I travel many miles and play many games so my recovery pants help me get back into the condition I need to be to perform at my best.

“The performance pants not only keep the sweat off me, thus allowing me to feel as light in my equipment at the end of the game as I do as the start of the game, but also move with my body so I dont feel restricted I cannot recommend Kurio highly enough.”

Kurio was set up in 2012 and employs five full-time staff at its headquarters in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.

Future Factory, formed in 2009, is funded by Nottingham Trent University and the European Regional Development Fund and helps eligible SMEs in the East Midlands design sustainable products and develop sustainable practice and processes.

Services can be offered without charge or at heavily subsidised rates. A £2.2m funding award has secured future and current collaborations until 2015.

With access to national and international expertise and facilities at Nottingham Trent University, as well as graduate placements, Future Factory can also help businesses design out wasteful processes and design in environmentally neutral technologies, materials and alternative ways to re-use or recycle.
