Marks & Spencer adds Alison Brittain to BoD

Alison is currently Group Director for the Retail Division of Lloyds Banking Group plc.  She brings significant financial and commercial experience combined with considerable knowledge of running customer facing retail branch networks.  Alison will join the Nomination Committee on her appointment.

Alison Brittain was appointed Group Director, Retail at Lloyds in 2012 having joined from Santander in 2011, where she was Executive Director, Retail.  Prior to that Alison spent nearly 20 years with Barclays, including director of the Barclays and Woolwich retail networks and managing director of Barclays Business Banking.

Commenting on the appointment, Robert Swannell, Chairman of Marks & Spencer said: “I am delighted to welcome Alison to the Board.
