Gilmar Group seals license deal with Paolo Pecora

Gilmar Group, the internationally famous clothier, has sealed an exclusive worldwide license agreement with popular Italian designer Paolo Pecora for the production and distribution of the latter’s eponymous menswear line.

The result of the collaborative venture will be first unveiled at the forthcoming 85th edition of Pitti Immagine Uomo where the brand will feature its fall/winter 2014-2015 collection, which later will be sold through Gilmar showrooms and other selected agents and distributors around the globe.

Commenting on the newly signed deal, Gilmar CEO Paolo Gerani said, “We are proud to participate in the new global launch and development of a brand that we’ve been following from close-up for some time. In particular we are impressed by the artful way it gives men’s clothing a smart contemporary twist.”

While speaking on the agreement, Paolo Pecora said, “For a brand such as ours, originally all about knits, this agreement coincides with a fresh beginning, the embarking on a new and important stage in our evolution. Gilmar is surely one of the best in the Italian fashion industry, fully able to offer partners all the know-how, technological and otherwise, necessary for innovating production processes and heightening product quality.”

Founded in 1984, the Paolo Pecora menswear line is known for its premium quality knitwear.

Owner of two luxury labels, Iceberg and Ice Iceberg, the Italy-based Gilmar Group also manufactures and distributes ready-to-wear collections for brands like N°21, Frankie Morello and Brooksfield.

Scheduled to take place from January 7 to 10, 2014 in Florence, Italy, Pitti Immagine Uomo is one of the world’s most important platforms for men’s clothing and accessory collections.
