The Turkish province of Izmir recently held the eighth edition of Europe’s largest wedding gowns and evening wear trade show the ‘IF Wedding Fashion Izmir-Wedding Gowns and Evening Wear’ fair, which showcased the latest trends in wedding dresses.

Organized by Izmir Fair Services for Culture and Arts (IZFAS) with the support of the Turkish Ministry of Economy, the Aegean Clothing and Apparel Exporters Association (EHKIB) and the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality, the four-day fair saw a showcase of several wedding gowns and evening dresses by renowned fashion labels and evening wear manufacturers.

Turkish designer labels such as Alchera, J’adore, Kenzel&Bezz and Elysion presented their latest wedding gowns and evening wear creations at the runway during the trade show, and more than 171 evening wear and cocktail dress makers displayed their collections at the exhibition stalls.

Over 18,366 visitors attended the show, including buyers from 79 different countries. Wedding gown and evening wear manufacturers from Lebanon, Italy, Ukraine, Russia and several provinces of Turkey including Bursa, Gaziantep, Antalya and Istanbul participated in the trade fair.

The fair also saw participation from an Iraqi delegation of 50 entrepreneurs who attended the show to exchange ideas for potential collaboration with Turkish businessmen, in order to increase cooperation between the two countries.

Exhibitors at the show displayed several womenswear products, including cocktail dresses, evening wear, bridal wear, women’s suits, casual wear and more, as well as grooms wear and men's suits.
