Gallery Düsseldorf expands exhibition portfolio & space

The forthcoming THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF held from 25 to 28 July 2014 over the CPD order weekend will present itself with an extended exhibitor portfolio as well as enlarged exhibition space and an additional venue.

In addition to the ›Botschaft‹ on Cecilienallee and the ‘Red Carpet’ segment in the ›Rheinlandsaal‹ at the Hilton Hotel, the ›Hammer Hallen‹ venue in the harbour has also been rented to provide space for many new exhibitors.

As early as January the Igedo already expanded its exhibition space by over 1,100 square metres putting up a marquee and renting the ›Rheinlandsaal‹ ballroom at the neighbouring Hilton Hotel.

Commenting on the new move Ulrike Kähler, Project Director National Trade Shows of Igedo Company, said: “With this area extension we are responding to the high number of space requests we received after the official cancellation of Premium Order. Being a “home-base player” in Düsseldorf Igedo considers it a given to cater to these customers’ needs with our know-how and our permanent local presence.

Being embedded in our innovative marketing strategies all our exhibitors enjoy the highest possible international exposure.” The Agency D-tails, located in Munich has already signed in with the labels ALPHA • BORRELLI • DUVETICA • HAPPINESS • PANTONE and WHITE SIVIGLIA and has committed herself to the new location.

In the wake of this space extension the customers who exhibited at THE GALLERY BERLIN will also be offered stand space. Since the ›Opernwerkstätten‹ – serving as venue for THE GALLERY in Berlin twice already – will no longer be available for future events from July, the Igedo Company decided to completely focus on the destination Düsseldorf rather than looking for a new venue in Berlin yet again.

Another new feature of THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF is the integration of the children’s wear segment which will take place from 25 to 28 July 2014 in the ›Hammer Hallen‹ venue. “Here, too, we are reacting to market demands by incorporating THE LITTLE GALLERY format into THE GALLERY DÜSSELDORF since many of our exhibitors handle both women’s and children’s wear and therefore favoured coinciding dates,” said Ulrike Kähler. Igedo Company plans to extend the accompanying programme staged during the CPD weekend to include several events for the kids and womenswear sector.

Commenting on developments Philipp Kronen, Managing Partner of Igedo Company, added: “By enlarging our home base we are strengthening Düsseldorf as a location. The repeated search for a venue in Berlin was out of the question for us also in view of the competitive situation there. We are now creating a new “storyboard” for the fashion city Düsseldorf with an extensive range for the industry.”
