A total 1,400 apparel brands, including 400 international brands, exhibited their latest products at the recently concluded 22nd edition of the China International Clothing and Accessories Fair (CHIC 2014), held at the New China International Exhibition Center, in the Chinese capital city of Beijing.
Organized by the Fashion Expo and China World Trade Center with support from China National Garment Association, the CHIC 2014 fair saw participation from international apparel brands from 19 countries, including Germany, Italy, France, the US, UK, South Korea and Turkey.
According to the CHIC website, around 75 exhibitors from Korea, 87 exhibitors from Italy, 36 exhibitors from France, and 23 exhibitors from Germany showcased their latest apparel products and clothing accessories during the four-day event.
During the 22nd edition, for the first time in CHIC history, a small group of apparel manufacturers from Taiwan and Austria also participated and presented their products to around 90,000 visitors who attended the show.
One of the major highlights of the CHIC 2014 fair was the several multi-brand stores that were present in almost all international pavilions which displayed the latest spring-summer collections.
Held since 1993, the apparel trade fair is aimed at showcasing as well as promoting the development of the Chinese garment industry, with the objective of marketing the Chinese clothing brand in international markets.
Exhibitors at the event presented various apparel products including menswear, womenswear, kidswear, casualwear, leather and fur products, jackets, clothing accessories and more.
