With the aim of promoting Turkish designs and ‘made-in-Turkey’ clothing in the international market, the Turkey Apparel Exporters Association (IHKIB) will join hands with the Parisian ready-to-wear trade expo ‘Who’s Next’ organizers and host an event for a special showcase of Turkish clothing during the Parisian fair, scheduled to be held from July 4 to 7, 2014, at the Porte de Versailles in Paris.

During a recent press conference at the French Palace in the Turkish city of Istanbul, IHKIB chairman Hikmet Tanriverdi announced that this year Turkey would be hosting a special event titled ‘Turkiss Delight’ during the spring-summer 2014 edition of the four-day Parisian prêt-à-porter trade event.

The event would be organized with the support of the Turkish Designers Association (MTD), and renowned fashion designers from the country would be participating in the event to present their latest collections to international buyers and distributors attending the show, he added.

More than 50 Turkish apparel brands and fashion designers would be partaking in the special showcase and present latest Turkish ready-to-wear creations to visitors attending the show.

The bi-annual Parisian prêt-a-porter trade event brings together various clothing and accessories brands under the same roof, showcasing their latest spring-summer 2014 collections.

More than 2,000 ready-to-wear and accessories brands from all over the world partake in the event, where several interactive seminars and trends forums are also held for visitors to comprehend the newest trends in ready-to-wear.

Exhibitors display various clothing and accessories goods during the trade fair, including women’s ready-to-wear, men’s ready-to-wear, urbanwear, outerwear, casualwear, textiles and clothing accessories, and more.
