UK's label River Island debuts enigmatic chic line at LFW

Edgy fashion is selling like hot-cakes off the runway, catering the same River Island, renowned British high-street brand known for its on-trend and accessible designs, forays into the ongoing Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2014. Bollywood Newbie, Kriti Sanon strut the ramp in an enigmatic River Island ensemble leaving the audience spellbound during the launch at the Palladium hotel in Mumbai.

The Autumn Winter collection of River Island made its official entry on the runway this season at Lakmé Fashion Week with a huge selection of contrasting trends on the show. From the usual winter blacks and greys to all-whites, 60’s pastels, winter florals and colorful preppy prints to the Metallics, leather and fringing feature can be heavily spotted throughout the collection this season. With faux fur coats, gilets, stoles and bags in a range of colours and patterns, River Island truly has us covered when it comes to this Autumn Winter trend.

Coveted stylist Guatam Kalra styled the models and showstopper Kriti Sanon for the ramp along with Rashmi Virmani who choreographed the entire show with élan. The River Island A/W’14 collection offers a diverse range of staples and fashion forward pieces, creating a balanced range to cater to every fashionista’s sartorial needs. The collection received a sprawling response as soon as it was launched and soon became the talk of the town. Renowned Bollywood celebrities with the likes of Sonam Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have also been spotted wearing River Island at various occasions.
