After playing the title sponsor’s role for the U.S. show jumping team since February, 2014, the French luxury house Hermès has now become the official supplier of technical riding apparels for the United States Equestrian Federation (USEF) teams.

The Parisian label has created a specially designed line of riding garments and accessories for all the eight major disciplines of the sport including show jumping, dressage, eventing, driving, endurance, vaulting, reining and para-dressage.

Replete with distinctive Hermès saddle nail incorporating the signature USEF mark, the collection for riders and horses include competition jackets, soft shell jackets, baseball caps, polo shirts, Gore-Tex rain jackets, breeches, shadbellies as well as saddle pads.

Robert B. Chavez, the President and CEO Hermès USA said in a statement, “Committed as we are to making high quality performance products for horse and rider, Hermès is honored to be chosen by USEF as official supplier of technical apparel for the U.S. Equestrian teams. Competition at the highest level provides the ultimate test for our products, as well as an opportunity for Hermès to support USEF in nurturing achievement in Equestrian sport.”

Chrystine Tauber, the USEF President also revealed, “The USEF is pleased to welcome Hermès as the Official Technical Riding Apparel Supplier of the U.S. Equestrian Teams. With Hermès' attention to detail in the construction of its luxury products, we could not think of a better partner, and look forward to its continued support of the USEF.”

Currently available at Hermès boutiques in New York and on the fashion brand’s U.S. Web site, the collection has originally made its debut in the ongoing Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, which is slated to run through September 7, 2014 in Normandy, France.

Started as a saddle and harness maker in 1837, Hermès has now evolved into a full-fledged lifestyle brand specializing in leather, perfumery, luxury goods and ready-to-wear clothing.

USEF is the national governing body for most equestrian sports in the United States.
