Cherokee to launch new apparel brand with Reliance Retail

US based apparel marketer, Cherokee Global Brands said in partnership with Reliance Retail, it will develop and launch a new original, fashionable and design led apparel brand in India.

This collaboration revolves over a recently developed brand concept to be launched in India through Reliance Trends, the apparel and accessories format of Reliance Retail.

“The partnership enables us to leverage Reliance Trends established marketing and retail distribution strengths to promote the new brand in India,” Cherokee said.

With this association, Reliance Trends will also further strengthen its proposition in the apparel segment by offering an original, fashionable, high quality, design-led brand to Indian consumers.

According to Cherokee, the apparel brand will be subsequently expanded globally.

“We are excited to partner with Reliance on this endeavour and continue developing relationships with world-class retailers in all major markets,” Howard Siegel, COO at Cherokee Global Brands said.

He added, “The combination of our efforts with Reliance’s strong sourcing, marketing and retail distribution is a definite formula for success.”

Akhilesh Prasad, CEO of Reliance Trends informed, “For years, we have been impressed with the quality of brands, managed and developed by Cherokee Global Brands.”

“We are now excited to partner with them on this key initiative and look forward to tremendous success together with the new offering,” he noted.

Cherokee Global Brands is a marketer of a portfolio of fashion and lifestyle brands including Cherokee, Carole Little, Tony Hawk and Hawk Brands, Liz Lange and Sideout.
