Net-a-porter Miriam Lahange is now Navabi's chief merchant

Navabi, the global leader in women’s premium plus size fashion, has announced the appointment of ecommerce and fashion expert, Miriam Lahage as the Chief Merchant.
The new position will see Miriam head up the online company’s buying and merchandising departments; developing its premium branded proposition while also driving forward the development of Navabi’s own brand offering.
Having first joined navabi in May 2014 as a strategic advisor, Miriam will now also help oversee the brand’s broader marketing and trading divisions, bringing together both business strands as Navabi looks to consolidate its position as a global market leader, Navabi reported.
Prior to joining navabi, Miriam served on the executive board at the leading German department store group, Peek & Cloppenburg, for business and ecommerce, and served as the interim head of marketing. She acted as a consultant to net-a-porter and was also the global head of fashion at eBay.
Zahir Dehnadi, co-founder of Navabi, said, “Miriam belongs to the very best in her field, with her wealth of experience in both corporate and start-up environments. Having her at Navabi will aid us in our aim of changing the fashion world.”
Joint co-founder of the company, Bahman Nedaei said, “Miriam has accomplished so much throughout her career, having grown several leading fashion companies and even founding her own company. Her global perspective will be invaluable as we build our international business and product offering.”
Miriam said, “With a proven successful retail model and a huge potential for growth, Navabi’s pioneering work is something I both admire and very much want to be involved in.”
Co-founded in Germany by serial entrepreneurs Zahir Dehnadi and Bahman Nedaei in 2009, Navabi and its 150 plus strong team are increasingly satisfying the needs of style-savvy plus sized women across the globe.
