Roposo.com, a Gurgaon based fashion focused social network said they have raised $5 million funding led by technology venture investor, Tiger Global.

According to media reports, in this round of funding, previous investors Indian Quotient and Binny Bansal who is co-founder of Flipkart also participated.

Roposo offers choices from across 150 ecommerce websites with categories ranging from apparel, footwear, accessories and lingerie.

“All of these products are curated and recommended to each user as per their individual taste,” Roposo added.

"Fashion discovery is an untouched space in India and our technology team has come up with unique ways to make this search highly intuitive," Roposo co-founder Avinash Saxena said.

Roposo.com has been started by three IIT Delhi alumni, Mayank Bhangadia, Avinash Saxena and Kaushal Shubhank.

"At Roposo, we have created a giant online playroom with millions of fashion products, and are creating a hang-out for fashion addicts around it,” co-founder Mayank Bhangadia said.

He too added, “We want Roposo to be better than Google and Facebook for fashion searches and we are sure serious fashion seekers will make Roposo their default fashion search engine". (AR)
