Perry Ellis International has entered into license agreements with Itochu Prominent USA for men's dress shirts under the Perry Ellis brand and Original Penguin men's dress shirts and tailored clothing in the US and Canada.

“The Original Penguin collections will be marketed in department stores including Nordstrom's, Lord & Taylor, Bloomingdale's, The Bay and also specialty stores,” a Perry Ellis press release informed.

Itochu will launch Perry Ellis dress shirts for Spring 2016 and will continue to build on the current Perry Ellis dress shirt business and distribution, as well as its successful Perry Ellis tailored clothing business.

"We are delighted to partner with Itochu Prominent, which will allow us to extend the reach of our global portfolio of lifestyle brands," George Feldenkreis, CEO at Perry Ellis International said.

"Our relationship with the Perry Ellis brand in the tailored clothing area has been a very successful one," said Dan Orwig, group president of Itochu Prominent's Men's Division.

“And now we are delighted to now also work with Perry Ellis International on other businesses including Perry Ellis dress shirts, Original Penguin dress shirts and tailored clothing,” Orwig added.

“This move is an exciting complement to our existing men's business, and we are particularly pleased to significantly deepen what has been a very rewarding association with Perry Ellis International,” he noted.

Perry Ellis International is a designer, distributor and licensor of a broad line of high quality men's and women's apparel, accessories and fragrances.

It markets dress and casual shirts, golf sportswear, sweaters, dress pants, casual pants and shorts, jeans wear, active wear, dresses and men's and women's swimwear.
