Polarn O. Pyret appoints Thomas Hedström as acting CEO

Thomas Hedström has been appointed as the acting CEO of apparel firm Polarn O. Pyret.
Thomas takes up his role on October 26. Outgoing CEO Anders Wiberg will resign his position on November 6, 2015.
Thomas Hedström holds a masters degree in law from University of Lund and has also studied at New York University. Most recently Thomas served as CEO of Gudrun Sjödén during the period 2011- 2014. Prior to this, he has held several management positions in the music industry. He will be a member of the group management of RNB Retail and Brands, according to a press release.
Magnus Håkansson, president and CEO of RNB Retail and Brands said, “It is good that we have managed to recruit Thomas to the position of acting CEO of Polarn O. Pyret. This solution gives us more time in the process of recruiting a permanent CEO of Polarn O. Pyret.”
Thomas Hedström said, “Polarn O. Pyret is a unique company with a market-leading position in its line of business. I look forward to contributing with full force to the development of the business, together with the employees of Polarn O. Pyret.”
