Zhuzhou strives to bag pole position as 'top clothing city'

If the people of Changsha city spend on an average RMB10 to go to Zhuzhou by train on every weekend, then they display loads of commonsense as they can buy clothing at half of the price at several clothing markets of the city.
In 2005, Zhuzhou city produced over 45 million pieces of costume and the sales volume stood at RMB2.3 billion. Women's trousers in particular, registered a record annual output claiming 25 percent of the total national production share. Zhuzhou city currently has around 400 registered costume brands.
Recently, local Government sources revealed that in the 11th Five-Year Plan, clothing units would continuously strive to set up a regional and national modern costume logistics and industrial base to make Zhuzhou, a first-rate costume city of China.
At present, Zhuzhou city is the biggest costume market and a regional costume logistic hub in Central and Southern China.
