Tyvek suit maker MPE registers double-digit growth in 2007

New and gently worn:
MPE obtains gently used protective clothing such as coveralls, plastic aprons, shoe covers, and lab coats from manufacturers whose employees wear the protective garments in sterile rooms to keep delicate electronic components free from dust, hair and other small particles.
The manufacturers use the clothes only for a few hours, and MPE then cleans, reconditions and tests the garments to make sure they keep their full protective qualities. MPE then offers the garments to manufacturers and other companies whose employees wear them to stay clean and safe from grease, dust, paint, pesticides, aerosols, blood-borne pathogens such as bacteria and viruses, and other hazardous substances.
MPE's protective clothing includes the following disposable garments:
• Tyvek coveralls
• Tyvek aprons
• Tyvek jumpsuits
• Tyvek suits
• Tyvek lab coats
• Tyvek shoe covers, boot covers, sleeves and hoods
• Tyvek pants
• Tyvek shirts
• Tyvek biohazard suits
• Tyvek painters coveralls and paint suits
• Kleenguard coveralls
In addition to the recycled garments, made from DuPont's Tyvek and Kimberly-Clark's heavier-duty Kleenguard materials, MPE produces its own line of Maxshield disposable coveralls, complete with matching hoods and boot covers, for prices less than Tyvek.
MPE also provides athletic apparel. Its sheddable-shell marathon jackets and tear-away pants provide lightweight and warm protection from rain and wind.
Founded in 1987, MPE Inc is the nation's largest independent provider of recycled Tyvek spun-bonded olefin protective apparel for the industrial market.
