Aeropostale total sales for Feb climbs 18.6% to $89.7 mn

Aeropostale Inc, a mall-based specialty retailer of casual and active apparel for young women and men, announced that total net sales for the four-week period ended March 1, 2008 increased 18.6% to $89.7 million, from $75.6 million for the four-week period ended March 3, 2007.
The Company's same store sales increased 7.0% for the month, compared to a same store sales increase of 2.3% in the year ago period.
The Company noted that it continued to experience positive reads on its spring merchandise, while increasing its gross margins for the month.
Aeropostale Inc is a mall-based, specialty retailer of casual apparel and accessories, principally targeting 14 to 17 year-old young women and men.
