Following the first standards for necktie products (FZ/T 81011 - 1999) in 1999, the Government of China has recently issued another one (FZ/T 81011 - 2008) which will be enforced with effect from July 1, 2008.
The new standards will mainly establish requirements for neckties and will include inspection ways and classification, sign, packing, transportation, as well as all technique features.
While evaluating and constituting the standards, China National Development and Reform Commission, made reference to the American standards (ASTM D 3785 - 2002) for regulations about the performance of neckties and scarf woven fabrics.
In comparison to the previous one, the new set of standards will have additional clause like examination of formaldehyde content, PH, peculiar smell, decomposable aromatic amine dye, fibre content of the raw materials, and color fastness. Besides it also entails revision and supplementing of certain unreliable contents.
