Chinese intimate wear industry on a high with increasing local demand

Recently Russia has been experiencing a sudden rise in consumption of undergarments. As the country is unable to fill the wide gap between low production and huge demand, it has diverted its focus to other alternatives like imports from countries.

Previously, Russia imported intimate wear from European nations like Italy, Germany and France but due to high range of products, the country is now importing from Asian manufacturers, who are moderately inexpensive.

Russia have started importing inner wears in large quantities mainly from China, as the latter offers them at a comparatively low rate. On the other hand, this situation seems quite positive for the Chinese entrepreneurs, who are generating good revenue through exports to this country.

According to the statistics, at present, in Russian underwear market, the share of Asian countries is 51 percent, Europe comes second with 34 percent and the domestically produces ones account for mere 15 percent.

Among all the Asian nations, China takes the lead, accounting for 47 percent of total imports of Russia, in both women and men underwears, Poland has 14 percent share, and Turkey stands at11 percent.
