1960's Italian resort style inspires Matinique summer

With a touch of retro, the Matinique high summer collection looks to Italy in a 1960's resort style.

It has a modern look with combinations for a laid back afternoon, a chill by the pool or to dress for dinner.

Details are important and with a sporty feeling we combine and style the collection to fit the city man of 2008.

For high summer it is essential the collection is casual and comfortable, including different styles of t-shirts, short-sleeved shirts as well as cargo pants and shorts, where materials are lightweight or a bit rustic finished with soft washings.

On the other hand this collection is also styled for the city man that dresses to go out, or need a light suit for work in the summer season.

For him the choices are suits made of cotton and linen blends or light wool, either plain colored or in fine micro patterns.

And for the Riviera holiday we included the Matinique club blazer, made in structured weaving and available in both solid navy or in stripe.

For most t-shirts, shirts and knitwear the color options are fresh and strong accents, a perfect mix for your grey or beige suits or cargos.

But the choice can be turned around if you choose our colorful cotton stretch jeans and just wear them with a white shirt.

Or combine tone on tone and get the subtle and monochrome look, which is still important for the Matinique collection.

For the warm season you want a light outerwear to suit the weather. Light nylons are available in our short trench coat, the ribbed bomber or the directional anorak.

A collection suitable for any occasion or location in the summer season and works as a perfect combination for the Matinique man.
