Benetton receives 'Investor of year' award

Alessandro Benetton, Executive Deputy Chairman of Benetton Group, received from E.H. Mohamed Ghannouchi, Tunisian Prime Minister, the “Investor of the Year Award”, assigned to Benetton Group by the National Awards Committee "in recognition of Benetton Group's contribution to the development of Tunisia's apparel sector and the increase of its competitivity".
The award was assigned in occasion of the 10th edition of the Carthage Investment Forum.
Benetton Group has been present in Tunisia for 15 years and investments of over 20 million euro are planned in 2008.
At present the Group generates employment here, directly and in-directly, for approximately 10.000 people.
