Technology manual to improve export quality of kidswear

The technology manual for childrens' clothes export prepared by China Clothes Association and Shanghai Clothes Institute has been formally approved by the Government of China.
The Government had asked for the compilation of this manual earlier in December 2006. Over the intervening one and a half years, experts collected, translated and arranged foreign information and analyzed the difference between domestic and foreign technology. They also visited numerous manufacturers engaged in producing kidswear and finally concluded with the manual on May 22 this year.
Now that the manual has been given a sanction, it will help Chinese children clothes enterprises to have a clear understanding of international standards and criteria.
Besides, it will also assist in modifying the present technology to improve on aspects of quality, safety and reliability of the products. All in all, it will immensely aid the domestic children wear segment in becoming more competitive in the international market.
China exports some US $7 billion worth kidswear every year however; because of certain quality problem foreign clients had criticized made-in-China children apparel. Experts believe that with the implementation of this technique manual the companies will be able to overcome the deficiencies.
