This event is initiated by the Sri Lanka Apparel Institute and has the support of the Apparel Industry in Sri Lanka as well as the support of the Joint Apparel Association Forum. The Conference theme is “Beyond 2010 – Challenges and Opportunities”.

This Conference will be the first of a unique annual event planned and executed to meet some of the urgent needs of the South Asian Apparel Manufacturer and Exporter.

As we approach 2010 the Manufacturers and Exporters from this region should keep abreast of the emerging trends and opportunities in order to prosper as leading suppliers to the world.

Apparel South Asia Conference aims to achieve this objective by having high profile world leaders in the apparel sector exchange ideas with the manufacturing and exporting community in this Region.

It would be the place where the meeting of people and meeting of minds with similar interests will take place and will help formulate strategies for the challenging future ahead.

The target audience for this event will be Apparel Manufactures and Exporters from the South Asian region, namely India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Over 300 delegates from the south Asian region are expected to participate at this initial conference.

The conference programme will commence with brief Country papers from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka followed by a panel discussion.

The Country representatives will form the panel which will be further strengthened by Industry champions from these Countries.

As the head of the Pakistan Readymade Garments Manufacturers and Exporters Association the premier Trade Association representing the Industry, we have great pleasure in inviting you to present the country paper on Pakistan.

Colombo will also offer a number of concurrent events which will make your visit worthwhile and provide additional value to a unique experience.
