| New line of performance clothing designed
for kids |

 Combining
clean, simplistic style with high performance fabrics, the creators of Roonwear
have designed a new gorgeous line of highly versatile clothing for young
adventurers.
The challenge for parents when they are planning any type of outdoor activities
or trips with their family, is the comfort and enjoyment of their kids. Bryan &
Rebecca Johnson, owners of Roonwear, discovered this the hard way two years ago
when they took their oldest son Cameron “Roon” on a two week backpacking trip
through Panama.
While his parents were comfortable and wellprepared for hot and humid
temperatures in their performance clothing, Roon was miserable in his 100%
cotton clothes, which made for a challenging vacation. This trip inspired the
launch of Roonwear, a performance clothing line designed just for infants and
toddlers.
The Johnsons spent nearly a year testing materials, looking for that perfect
combination of a performance fabric that provided comfortable, dry, odor free
protection, yet also had an extra soft cottony feel next to the baby’s skin.
They chose Dri-release fabric from Optimer because it offered all of these
benefits and more.
Dri-release with Freshguard is a patented, intimate blend of synthetic and
natural fibers that accelerate the water release rate of wet fabric, which will
keep kids dry, comfortable, and odor-free.
Roonwear introduced themselves to the market at the Outdoor Retailer show in
2007 with approximately 14 styles of shirts, pants, jackets and socks catered
to preemie sizing all the way up to 5T. This year, Roonwear will launch its new
“Mountain to C” line with over 15 newly designed styles for little ones ages 3
months up to 5 years.
At the same time, they will continue to offer their great selling Adventure
Infant and Walkabout lines. The Mountain to C line will offer kids the benefit
of the soft Dri-release fabric, the tagless designs associated with all
Roonwear products, and numerous bright and fun colors and designs that kids
will want to wear everyday.
