Garment producer GLORIETTE adopts bluesign standard

bluesign technologies ag announces that GLORIETTE is a new system partner of bluesign technologies ag. GLORIETTE is actually the first manufacturer worldwide that is allowed to tag its shirts and blouses with the “bluesign safety” label.

The independent international bluesign standard serves people and the environment, and identifies a responsibly acting textile industry.

It meets the general need to do something about sustainability, so that next generations can benefit from an intact environment, without compromising functionality, quality or design.

The declared objective of the independent bluesign standard is to put a reliable and proactive tool at the disposal of the entire textile manufacturing chain – from raw material and component suppliers who manufacture e.g. yarns, dyes and additives, to textile manufacturers, to retailer and brand companies, to consumers.

“We are excited to announce that we have gained another system partner which is convinced about our system. GLORIETTE wants to reduce the environmental footprint of its products by implementing the bluesign standard in its supply chain”, says Detlef Fischer, VP of bluesign technologies ag.

GLORIETTE, Austria's largest producer of shirts and blouses, is very proud to fulfil the criteria of the bluesign standard and to award its products with the “bluesign safety” label.

This adds an important characteristic to GLORIETTE's efforts to constantly improve the quality of its shirts and blouses. Furthermore the use of the “bluesign safety” label not only underlines GLORIETTE's ambition to produce articles of high quality, but also documents its endeavour to be considerate of an environmentally friendly production, of highest corporate responsibility and of a skin friendly end product.

Over the past few years GLORIETTE developed into a successful trendsetter in the Austrian shirt fashion scene. Established at the end of the 19th century GLORIETTE combines nowadays traditional shirt manufacturing with state-of-the-art production technology.

Heading for European leadership GLORIETTE has the best available prerequisites to be a factor on market. Furthermore the company is constantly developing innovative and modern products and new concepts. To cultivate the traditional shirt making and its craftsmanship the product LUXURY in the premium class was designed and established on market.
